Mary Anne Whitten was born in Petersburg, Virgin- ia on November 12, 1929. She married William G. Karch on August 18, 1951, in Petersburg, Virginia, and they had two children, Cynthia Anne and David Meade Karch. Mary Anne graduated from James Madison Uni- versity in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and was a teacher for many years.

After retir- ing from teaching Mrs. Karch owned several an- tique businesses in the Chicago area, and moved to Belleville with her hus- band in 2006. She also loved gardening, nature and animals, especially her beloved cats. Mary Anne was a kind, compassionate and caring person to all and was loved by many. She was preceded in death by her son, David M.

Karch. Surviving are her hus- band, William Karch and her daughter Cynthia (Terry) Letner of Belleville and her granddaughter Amelia (Andrew Weaver) Letner of Belleville. Mary Anne also leaves behind many friends and loved ones. Wolfe, nee Serfass, 92, of Swansea, IL, formerly of Lehighton, PA, born February 23, 1925 in Bowmanstown, PA, passed away peacefully at Memo- rial Hospital in Belleville, IL on Friday, January 26, 2018 with her family by her side. Beatrice was a member of and sang in the choir at Zion United Church of Christ in Lehighton, PA. She enjoyed baking, em- broidering, and sewing, was a proud grandmother of five wonderful grand- children, and will be re- membered for her loving and caring spirit. Galati worked at Stag Brewery before his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Colleen J. Galati, nee Stoll, whom he mar- ried on July 31, 1948, and who died on October 14, 2012; his parents, Vito and Pitlia nee Man- giapane, Galati; three brothers, Samuel, Vito and James Galati; and three sisters, Frances Polich, Pauline Rice, and Jose- phine Barttelbort.

He was born February 14, 1939, in Belleville, IL. Donald attended the Missouri School of Mines Minerals at Rolla, MO. He worked at McDonnell Douglas, was a substitute teacher at Mascoutah High School, a dairy farmer, and a carpenter.

She was born on Decem- ber 19, 1926 in Gale Illi- nois, the daughter of Jesse and Marie Masterson. Dorothy earned her Masters of Education from SIUE and retired from District 189 in East St. Louis in 1992.

She was a member of St. Church in Belleville and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Marie (nee Walters) Masterson; brothers, Fred Abernathy; sisters, Thelma McClary and Dolores Ci- marolli.
