Paul, Philip and Sophie,

So sad for the loss of Gillian who fought so hard to beat this awful disease – a very brave strong lady. I first met Gillian as a five year old living in Stainton village and the friendship lasted until the end of her life. She was a kind, thoughtful girl and so full of fun and energy. Rest in peace Gillian. Love always Pauline.

Paul and Family,

Please accept our deepest heartfelt condolences. We have received the sad news that Gillian had lost the battle against the dreaded and awful disease cancer. I know that Gill was strong so she will have fought to the bitter end to beat it.

Most of my memories of Gill stem back to our youth when we all lived in Stainton village and we were all neighbours. It was one big family living next door to each other. When we were younger we would spend a lot of time together but as time passed we were not as close but there was always that family connection.

I cant even start to understand how you must all be feeling, but take solace in that you are all in our thoughts and we extend a big arm across the atlantic to put around you all and give you comfort.

Please know that we are all holding you all in our thoughts at this sad time.

GOD BLESS X

Thinking of you all.

To Paul, Sophie, and Phil,
Will and I are so sorry for your loss. I was very shocked and deeply saddened by Gill’s passing. She has been a rock in my life since our children were together at Lakecrest. During our days of tennis, discussions of British mystery books and movies, workouts at the YMCA and for many lunches at the Press and Bean, she was always a strong woman, with a healthy competitive spirit and lots of wit. She could always make me laugh. I have such wonderful memories of her that I will always remember our times together with great fondness.. May the memories that she created with all of you, bring you peace and joy in time. She will be very missed.
