Every cutting-edge technology starts high-end before trickling down to the rest of us, but luckily with tons of new entrants to the segment joining every year, we’ve finally reached a point where good deals on a brand-new EV aren’t that hard to find anymore.

We found 10 of the very best leasing deals automakers currently offer on EVs, outlining some highlights on vehicles from the Hyundai Ioniq 6 to the Nissan Ariya. Conventional fully electric cars make up the bulk of this list, but there is also a PHEV option as an alternative if you don't want to go fully electric yet.

Keep in mind the $7,500 EV tax credit is applied differently to leases, meaning practically any EV is eligible for the discount and there are no income requirements, but the downside is the money is given to the manufacturer and dealers, and they don’t necessarily have to transfer the discount to the buyer, so it pays to shop around and see who’s willing to offer what.

Deals may change depending on your area, and not every vehicle is sold in every state, but more importantly, these deals are only good until 4/30/24, so if something catches your eye, you had better jump on it.

Kia EV6

  • Lease for $249 per month for 24 months, with $3,999 due at signing for 2024 Light Long Range RWD.
  • Lease for $299 per month for 24 or 36 months, with $3,999 due at signing for Light Long Range AWD.

As comes as no surprise, with Kia and Hyundai's extensive, cheaper EV options, the companies are offering plenty of amazing lease deals to get you into a zero tailpipe emissions vehicle. One of the better deals they're currently offering is a 24-month term for $249 a month with $3,999 due at signing for the RWD Light Long Range Trim, which gets you 225 horsepower and 310 miles of range.

If you'd rather have AWD and its 320 horsepower, the payment increases to $299 a month, and you then get the option between a 24-month or 36-month term. As one of the best electric vehicles on the market, we say deals as good as these are worth some serious consideration even if a facelift is on the way.

Hyundai Ioniq 5

  • Lease for $232 per month for 24 months, with $3,516 due at signing (SE Long Range). Includes the $7,500 EV tax credit.
  • Lease for $229 per month for 24 months, with $3,499 due at signing (SEL). Includes the $7,500 EV tax credit.

If the futuristic Ioniq 5 is more up your alley, then you're in luck, as its lease deals for April are even better, most likely due to dealers having a glut of inventory on the lots. If you're interested in an SE Long Range, you can hop into a model for 24 months at $232 per month with $3,516 due at signing, which is a steal for one of the absolute best electric crossovers on the market.

To make matters even better, you can move up to the SEL trim AND pay less, as the company is offering that model for $3 less a month and with a smaller down payment of $3,499.

Hyundai Ioniq 6

  • Lease for $239 per month for 24 months with $239 due at signing (SE Long Range RWD), includes the $7,500 EV tax credit.

Hyundai isn't just having a fire sale with the Ioniq 5, as the Ioniq 6 is currently sitting on the brand's EV leasing throne with a doozy of an offer. $239 per month for 24 months is already fantastic, but the kicker is that Hyundai is only asking for $239 due at signing. For $500, you can get into one of the best electric sedans on the market with a single 225 hp rear motor and a 360-mile range to boot. This makes for an electric vehicle perfect for your only car, and fortunately, you don't need the top trims to get the best model.

Tesla Model 3

  • Lease for $329 per month for 36 months with $2,999 due at signing: This lease offer provides a relatively low monthly payment, reducing the cost of ownership during the lease term.

We had to include one Tesla on this list, and even though its monthly payment isn't the most exciting deal out there, the small amount due at signing and longer term make this recently refreshed electric sedan an attractive option, especially due to it still being near the very top of its segment.

For $329 a month, you'll find yourself in an RWD Model 3 with 272 miles of range and 257 hp, but the refresh has brought with it so much more, including upgraded looks inside and out, and a much quieter interior with a larger touchscreen. In fact, the sedan now features one of the lowest drag coefficients (0.208 Cd) of any car currently on sale.

Nissan Ariya

  • Lease for $259 per month for 18 months with $4,139 due at signing.

The Ariya is a stylish, attractive SUV that offers compelling performance for its class, made all the better by this killer leasing deal Nissan is currently offering. The $259 per month with $4,139 due at signing is extremely competitive for its class, but keep in mind this is only offered for the FWD Engage base trim.

Offering 265 miles of range, this trim utilizes a single front-mounted motor that produces 214 hp. Not a number to brag to your friends about, but the instant kick of electricity should make it feel quick around town, if lacking a tad at highway speeds. If you already own a Nissan Group product, you'll get $1,000 dollars of the signing amount.

Kia Niro EV

  • Lease for $199 per month for 36 months with $3,999 due at signing
  • Lease for $179 per month for 24 months with $3,999 due at signing (Wind)

The Kia Niro EV flew under the radar for quite a long time, but with a heavy refresh last year, it quickly became a much more interesting option with its single motor, FWD powertrain producing 201 hp and a range up to 253 miles, along with seriously improved looks over the previous model.

The buying public may not have caught onto the model yet, as the company is currently offering some serious lease deals, highlighted by a $179 per month payment for 24 months with $3,999 due at signing. This will get you into the Wind with plenty of standard features and a focus on ease of use and comfort over sportiness. It's the perfect EV for someone who just wants a second vehicle to drive around in but doesn't expect a model that's going to go toe-to-toe with an Ioniq 5 N or the upcoming Model 3 Ludicrous.

Nissan Leaf

  • Lease for $289 per month for 36 months with $2,749 due at signing, plus $1,000 bonus cash

As far as electric vehicles go, the Nissan Leaf has been around the block and then some. It's managed to disappear into the crowd of combustion vehicles over the past 14 years, offering an unassuming alternative for those who didn't want to show off with more extravagant offerings from automakers like BMW and Tesla. Its bones may be old, but at the right price, the Leaf still makes a ton of sense to the right buyer.

For $289 a month with $2,749 due at signing, the pricing is already decent, albeit behind competitors at Hyundai and Kia. It's also slower than those competitors with just a single front-mounted 147 hp motor and a poor 149-mile driving range, but if you're locking in for 36 months, you could be eligible for a $1,000 cash bonus, too. With the Leaf as old as it is, Nissan understands its architecture better than most, and its range and power will be more than enough for most people's needs.

Subaru Solterra

  • Lease for $329 per month for 36 months with $329 due at signing with $0 security deposit.

The Solterra may be slightly more expensive per month than the other midsize crossovers on this list, but it sits alone as the only model designed with on-road and off-road use in mind. This is obviously very on-brand for Subaru, as is the inclusion of AWD being mandatory. One might think this means better than average power, but the Solterra only produces 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque. The range is at least adequate at 222 miles.

The cherry on top is you only owe $329 at signing plus no money for a security deposit, so if you can afford the monthly payment, the bar for entry into the world of electric vehicles is much lower than most.

Dodge Hornet R/T PHEV

  • Lease for $249 per month for 24 months with $3,999 due at signing for returning FCA US LLC Lessees

The company is also offering $10,500 in lease support bonus cash, but $6,500 of that is the EV credit. Still, if completely qualified, you can get into a $45,000 car for less than $35,000, which isn't half bad for one of the most interesting PHEVs currently on the road, and perhaps the most exciting vehicle on this list.

When we heard Dodge was planning on copying Alfa Romeo's homework for its next crossover, we were excited, but I don't think anyone expected it to be such a blatant rip-off of its corporate cousin. Still, Alfa's loss is our gain, as it means we get two flavors of essentially the same crossover, and the Hornet was able to make the most out of the vehicle's design and performance DNA. With 288 horsepower from the PHEV powertrain that also offers up to 32 miles of electric-only range Dodge's newest muscle crossover is a perfect option for those wanting performance, fuel economy, and style at a decent price point.

Hyundai Kona Electric

  • Lease for $169 per month for 24 months with $1,999 due at signing (SE small battery)
  • Lease for $199 per month for 36 months with $1,579 due at signing (SEL large battery)

We thought it best to save the best deals for last; and boy, Hyundai is once again bringing the heat. The Hyundai Kona Electric, like the regular Kona, was recently updated for the 2024 model year. The vehicle grew in every dimension and has taken on a futuristic appearance, but while the looks saw a huge update, performance was apparently thought best kept the same as before.

This means you get the choice of either a 133 horsepower or 201 horsepower front-mounted motor, with either a 200-mile battery pack or a longer range 260-mile pack.

Of the two deals Hyundai is currently offering, the $169 a month deal is only for the base SE trim with the smaller battery pack and a less powerful motor, but for just $30 extra a month and a little less money put down for signing, you can get into an SEL with the Long Range battery. We don't know about you, but that feels like a screaming good deal for just about anyone who wants to go electric.
