WEAR-ABC On the air Today's NFL games Miami Dolphins (9-5) at Minnesota Vikings (4-10) WHEN: 12:30 p.m. TV: WKRG-CBS. LINE: Dolphins by 3. ANALYSIS: The Vikings must get off to a good start and keep the game in reach. That means establishing RB Michael Bennett and hopefully forcing the Dolphins to cheat a safety toward the line of scrimmage, which would make life easier for WR Randy Moss downfield.

It also would limit the pass rushing threat of Miami DE Jason Taylor. The Dolphins usually like to establish the run first as well, but the Vikings are 31st in the league in pass defense, so the Vikings might have to weather an early air attack. ANALYSIS: 49ers coach Steve Mariucci insists his team's intensity level won't change, but San Francisco virtually is locked into the No. 4 seed in the NFC playoff picture. WR Terrell Owens likely won't play as he rests a nagging heel injury, so the Cardinals can focus on trying to contain RBs Garrison Hearst and Kevan Barlow. If they succeed, the offense should be able to move the ball against San Francisco's beat-up secondary. ANALYSIS: For Cowboys to stay close, they must run the ball early and protect rookie QB Chad Hutchinson. That's going to be a tough task since the Eagles are second in the NFL with 48 sacks, the Cowboys have allowed the second-most sacks in the league (42) and Philadelphia defensive coordinator Jim Johnson will blitz often. If the Eagles get a first-half lead, they'll keep the ball on the ground, chew up the clock and force Hutchinson to come from behind, when he'll be more likely to make mistakes. Fomer Giants star dead at 74 Ray Wietecha, who didn't miss a game in his 10-year career with the New York Giants, has died of an aneurysm. He was 74.

Wietecha died Dec. 14 in Phoenix, the Giants announced Friday. His streak of 124 consecutive games at center ended with his retirement after the 1962 season. During that period, the Giants won the 1956 NFL championship and four Eastern Conference titles. The Giants drafted Wietecha in the 12th round as a "futures" pick in 1950, but he played baseball as an outfielder in the Washington Senators system and also spent two years in the Marines.

He eventually cracked the Giants' lineup at the start of the 1953 season. After he stopped playing, Wietecha was offensive coordinator under Vince Lombard! when the Green Bay Packers won Super Bowl I and II. He retired as a Green Bay scout several years ago. He played center, linebacker and end at Northwestern, where he was named All-Big Ten center and outstanding defensive player. His collegiate career included a 1949 Rose Bowl victory over California.

He is survived by his wife, Joan, three children and eight grandchildren. Schrader joins BAM Racing NASCAR driver Ken Schrader signed with BAM Racing, securing a ride for the next season just before the start of January testing. The 47-year-old Schrader, the 1985 Rookie of the Year in Winston Cup, drove the last three seasons for MB2 Motorsports, which will field cars for Jerry Nadeau in 2003. In 554 career starts over 19 years, Schrader has four victories, but none since 1991. Beth Ann Morgenthau, the only female owner in the Winston Cup Series, plans to run a full schedule next season for the first time.

"Frankly, I like what I see at BAM and I like the direction they are headed," Schrader said in a statement. "There is a tremendous amount of potential with this race team." Last season, with six different drivers, including Shawna Robinson, BAM Racing ran 17 races. Its best finish was 22nd at Talladega with Stacy Compton at the wheel. Finally Vitali Klitschko will challenge Lennox Lewis for the heavyweight title in April. Klitschko's promoter, Klaus-Peter Kohl, said the fight will take place in the United States on either April 12 or one week later, and Las Vegas is one of the possible venues.

"It will be in the United States in any case," Kohl said on the Web site of his promotion agency. Lewis, the WBC champion, appeared to be wavering less than a week ago between fighting Klitschko or signing up to fight for promoter Don King. Vitali is the older of the two Klitschko brothers. Wladimir Klitschko stopped Jameel McCline after 10 rounds on Dec. 8.
