After cooking the prime rib and removing it from the oven to cool. Remove meat from the roasting pan and place it on a plate or platter to cool do not cover. Pour 2 cups of water into the roasting pan and scrape the bottom making sure to get all the tasty bits into your water (deglazing your pan).
