The world's best barometer of the airport equipment marketreturns to Munich between October 6 and 9. Every two years this giantexhibition--this is the 20th in the series--showcases the greatestline-up of products and services available to the commercial aviationindustry, though its military component also seems to be steadilyincreasing.
At the time of writing (September) the last few exhibitors werestill signing up, but more than 600 companies had already committedthemselves, maintaining the event's credentials as a leader in theheld.
After moving the show from its previous airport location to thepurpose-built Munich Trade Fair Centre site in 2009, organiser MackBrooks has stayed with the dedicated facility that appeared popular withthe vast majority of exhibitors. As before, the event will occupy twoprime exhibition halls at ground level, Halls B5 and B6. The adjacentoutdoor area will be used to accommodate larger equipment, includingmost of the vehicles. Visitors can access the event via the eastentrance to the Munich Trade Fair Centre or through the outdoor area tothe north. There are plenty of parking spaces for exhibitors andvisitors at the site.
The venue is well connected to the city centre and MunichInternational Airport, and offers a range of facilities such asrestaurants, meeting rooms and a regular shuttle bus service althoughmost of the hotel accommodation is within the city itself.
